Jim Barber & Friends: Our 2027 RV Resort Tour Is Bringing the Laughter to South Texas, Arizona, Florida—and Beyond!

Melonie and I are getting ready for an exciting year of travel, music, and laughter as we bring The Comedy of Jim Barber and Friends to RV resorts and communities across South Texas, Arizona, and Florida. Whether you’re a Winter Texan enjoying the Rio Grande Valley, a snowbird soaking up the Arizona sunshine, or an RV traveler spending the season in Florida, we hope to see you along the way!
Beginning in January 2027, we’ll be living and traveling full time aboard The Barber Bus, our restored Newell motorcoach, taking our show and our love of life on the road to audiences across America. Our plans extend throughout the country, with a summer appearance already booked in South Dakota and more dates being added as our route develops.
A Show Full of Characters, Comedy, and Musical Surprises
If you’ve never experienced Jim Barber and Friends, get ready for a lively combination of clean comedy, ventriloquism, singing, celebrity impressions, sound effects, and audience participation. My cast of characters—including my six-foot singing sidekick, Seville—has a way of turning an ordinary gathering into an afternoon or evening filled with surprises. Sometimes the people who join us from the audience become the biggest stars of the show!
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing on the Late Show with David Letterman, entertaining audiences in Branson, appearing on stages around the world, and sharing laughter with our military. Those experiences have helped shape a show that combines professional entertainment with the personal connection we enjoy at RV resorts.
Jim and Melonie: A Team Onstage and Behind the Scenes
This adventure is something Melonie and I create together. We work side by side to produce the show, prepare for each appearance, and bring the performance to life. Melonie plays an important role both onstage and behind the scenes, adding her musical talents, warmth, and personality to the experience. Together, we want our audiences to feel welcome from the moment we arrive.
We especially enjoy the friendships that grow out of these visits. As fellow RV travelers, we understand the pleasure of gathering with neighbors, swapping road stories, and enjoying an evening together. Getting to know the people who welcome us into their communities is one of the best parts of touring.
